FOUNDER AND CFO

Meet Rocco Verrilli our Founder and CFO. Rocco began his construction endeavours at the age of 12 with his father; he soon knew that construction and entrepreneurship was the path for him. He continued to follow his curiosity and interest in mechanics, electronics, woodworking and construction and successfully completed his Electrical apprenticeship. Rocco soon realized the opportunities that could be fulfilled utilizing his past experiences that would complement his new businesses.

Rocco’s owns numerous companies include: Stone Edge Marble & Granite, ASN Inc., Carriage Lane Design Build Inc., Pinnacle Spray Foam Solutions, and now The Collective Workspace!

When he’s not hard at work, Rocco spends time with his family and in the yard.

Carly Nemtean

FOUNDER AND CEO

Meet Carly Nemtean our founder and CEO. Carly graduated from Interior Design at Sheridan College and started her journey into the industry working for design firms. She met Rocco in 2009 on one of her job sites and soon found herself working for him at Alta Moda Millwork designing their cabinetry. Shortly after, Carly landed an opportunity to be a designer for HGTV’s Property Brothers and brought Rocco and his companies along to create full home updates with the show. Realizing the success of their skills combined, they opened their own boutique design and build firm, Carriage Lane Design Build in 2011.

Carly’s craft and strategy have gained her many awards in the industry including: NKBA 30 under 30, contractor of the year, designer of the year, design/builder of the year and being featured on the Business of Design Podcast by Kimberly Seldon in addition to a considerable number of print magazine features for her work.

When she’s not at work, Carly loves to travel, read, hang out with her dog, Shadow, and her husband, Itay, and also educate herself about entrepreneurship and business.

Duane Lucas

Design Resource Director

Prior to joining the Collective Workspace, Duane Lucas garnered over a decade of experience in the Architectural and Interior Design Industry. With a strong background in Interior Design and Business Development Duane discovered his role as Design Resource Director with the CW to be an ideal way to combine his passion in these two areas. He is a firm believer that everything in life happens for a reason and is testament to how his journey with the CW began. He is performance driven with an unparalleled work ethic and thrives on ensuring his clients receive the best level of service. His abundance of knowledge and experience in the furnishing, textiles, and various elements of Residential, Commercial and Hospitality Interior Design enhances his ability to think outside the box and see the answer in every problem. He is constantly expanding his passion for design and creativity and we here at the CW are thrilled to have him surge the way for us in Toronto.

Community Manager

Based in Toronto Hayley Paone is the epitome of versatility.  With a diploma in Interior decorating  and a professional background in the dance industry as company owner, choreographer, creative director and photographer it  is only natural that we define her  as a "multi - hyphenate" Hayley is an experienced on-site member who constantly makes sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has an enjoyable experience in our space!

Events Coordinator

A recent graduate from the Hospitality & Event Management Program at Humber College. Christine has vast customer service experience and has taken the lead of planning & organizing all of the internal and external events at The Collective Workspace. On her spare time she enjoys travelling, working out and eating great food at local restaurants.
